Troubleshooting Tips

Every item we sell is fully tested prior to shipment. If you’re experiencing an issue, the steps below resolve the majority of problems we see.

  1. Confirm compatibility (model and frequency)
    Compatibility is always listed on the product page.
  2. Check the rest of your system
    After confirming compatibility, inspect other components. For in-ground fence systems, a wire break is a very common issue.
  3. Verify the battery
    Use a brand-new battery of the correct type and confirm it is inserted correctly.
    For some Invisible Fence compatible batteries, the small metal contact tabs can get pushed inward. Gently bend them outward slightly to restore contact.
  4. Pair devices (remote trainers only)
    Replacement components for remote trainers must be paired before they will function. Pairing instructions are available in the owner’s manual or on the manufacturer’s website.

A. Orders ship next business day. You’ll receive tracking information by email once your order has been processed.

Q. What shipping service do you use?

A. Orders ship via USPS Ground Advantage with typical delivery in 2–5 business days. Boundary wire rolls ship USPS Priority Mail (Flat Rate).

Q. Do you charge sales tax?

A. Sales tax is collected on orders shipped within Idaho. For other states, tax is calculated automatically at checkout when applicable.

Q. What contact probe length should I use for my dog?

A. Probe length depends on your dog’s coat.

Short probes are typically sufficient for short-haired dogs.

For dogs with thick or long fur, longer probes may provide more consistent contact.

Trimming a small area of hair on the neck can also help improve contact.

Q. My Invisible Fence collar looks identical but says it’s not compatible. Why?

A. Even if two Invisible Fence brand collars appear identical, they may be programmed differently.

Invisible Fence collars can be set to work with different systems and frequency ranges, so visual similarity does not guarantee compatibility.
